In Grodno there has passed the next provocation, someone organized (we find out whom). Unfortunately, some representatives of the Grodno Belarus National front (BNF) have taken part in provocation, the “former” militiamen, and, certainly, registered «Club of entrepreneurs». On January, 27th, 2003 the meeting organised by the authorities of Grodno and the Grodno area with entrepreneurs has taken place. Originally the meeting was planned in a building to the address in Grodno, Lermontov’s street 2 at 15.00. Usually on such meetings come no more than 30-50 persons. Representatives’ of Strike Committee have decided to help the authorities and have asked to come entrepreneurs on this meeting. On January, 22nd, 2003 in of Grodno there has passed strike of entrepreneurs. In Grodno the basic markets and the minimarkets did not work. In the largest market “Southern” there was only one strikebreaker, on the others worked some person from among foreigners and the state enterprises. By point 2 of the DECREE of the PRESIDENT of REPUBLIC Belarus from July, 25th, 2002 № 18 “About SOME QUESTIONS of SOCIAL PROTECTION of CITIZENS” it is established, that individual entrepreneurs are subject to obligatory state social insurance and pay obligatory insurance payments in sizes and an order, provided by the legislation, but not less the sum of the named payments estimated at a rate of 36 percent from size of the budget confirmed when due hereunder of a living wage on the average per capita (the full text of the decree is located below).
