21.07.2001 in the ware market in the city of Brest active worker of Strike Committee of entrepreneurs of Belarus Bernatski Victor Pavlovich has been detained. Detention was spent by the foreman of militia Omeljanjuk (he has refused to be presented, we have learnt a surname later). The detention reason - is for distribution of the literature of antisocial character. The Arrested person against his will (by a taxi!), delivered in Moscow District Internal Affairs Department of Brest. There the arrested person was subjected to psychological pressure. Read more »

20.07.2001 at 10.00 in hotel “October” conference hall there has passed a meeting of the international observers from Association of organizers of elections of the countries Central and the Eastern Europe with the persons who are put forward by candidates in Presidents of Belarus and heads of initiative groups. On Sunday, on July, 8th, 2001 at 16.00 on a post of State traffic police about of the Lead employees of militia had been detained Valery Levaneuski with initiative group. Documents on the car have been withdrawn from Valery Levaneuski , the driver’s license and the insurance, for “check”. The detention reason is purely professional: petition in support of Valery Levaneuski at a wood edge, on parking place, near to a STP post. More than hour “was checked” the withdrawn documents. As of 1.07.2001 for Valery Levaneuski 31.000 persons have subscribed. Considering, that Valery Levaneuski’s initiative group has only 354 people, result is quite good. Petition does not stop even on exotic beaches of Grodno area. Read more »

On June, 26th, 2001 in Minsk there has passed joint session of 10 applicants in Presidents of Belarus, heads of the basic political parties and the organizations. Session occurred under the aegis of Public coalition movement «For new Belarus». 24.06.2001 Grodno under the invitation of the Grodno entrepreneurs was visited by one of the basic applicants for a post of the President of Belarus Michael Chigir. The Grodno entrepreneurs willingly give the signatures in support of Michael Chigir. One member of initiative group of Michael Chigirj, and them only among entrepreneurs of Grodno 32 persons, on the average collects more than 40 signatures for 5 hours of work of the market. 19.06.2001 years registration of initiative groups on promotion of candidates in Presidents of Belarus has proceeded. It is given up in registration still to three groups, which have essentially broken (according to members of the Central Electoral Committee) the current legislation. As a result 22 groups from 26 are registered. Read more »
