Families of political prisoners and victims of reprisals have met in a residence of the assistant to the ambassador of the USA in Belarus (photo)

In the beginning of this week families of political prisoners have been invited to a friendly reception in a residence of the assistant to the ambassador of the USA in Belarus to Jonathan M.Mur together with wife have rendered visitors hearty welcome. In friendly and easy conditions various aspects of attitudes of the USA and Belarus, development of cooperation between people and nongovernmental structures of both countries have been discussed.

M.Mur has noted, that the position of the USA concerning with Belarus will remain former. In particular, the USA will rigidly react to infringement of human rights in Belarus, and to achieve from a management of Belarus the termination of reprisals of the citizens on political grounds. The adviser of the ambassador has noted, that the USA are interested in becoming institutes of democracy in Belarus, in carrying out of free and fair elections
