The political prisoner has achieved library opening in a colony

In the Ivatsevichi colony №22 has opened the library, which creation was initiated by the political prisoner, leader of Strike Committee of entrepreneurs, a member of “Free Belarus” Valery Levaneuski.

Valery’s struggle for library creation in a colony has begun since New Year. The most difficult have appeared to receive the permission of administration and to achieve a premise under library. Valery Levaneuski has extended tens letters with the reference to send books in a colony. Parcels went and continue to go with all Belarus. It is a lot of books in library activists of incorporated civil party have sent.

Under the information, now in library fund, there are about thousand books, magazines and newspapers. However not all sent books were passed by colony administration. The son of political prisoner Uladzimir Levaneuski has informed “Radio Svaboda” about books which were forbidden by prison censorship. So, for example, under prison instructions, prisoners cannot use books which contain any maps.
