On January, 27th, 2003 the meeting organised by the authorities of Grodno and the Grodno area with entrepreneurs has taken place. Originally the meeting was planned in a building to the address in Grodno, Lermontov’s street 2 at 15.00. Usually on such meetings come no more than 30-50 persons. Representatives’ of Strike Committee have decided to help the authorities and have asked to come entrepreneurs on this meeting. The hall calculated on 300 persons naturally could not contain all interested persons (has come about 2 thousand persons).
For the Grodno authorities it was a shock. Naturally those who have not got to a hall have started to scan in the street and to demand a bigger hall. Skirmish lasted more than 1 hour while the Grodno authorities have not allowed using for these purposes of halls of the Executive Committee of the City Soviet of People’s Deputies. But also there into a hall on 600 places has entered only 1000 persons, the others remained to listen on a ladder platform.

Acted both representatives of the power and supervising bodies, and entrepreneurs. The basic problem which was discussed at the given meeting it - an arbitrariness of supervising bodies, confiscation of the goods and the huge penalties imposed on entrepreneurs to formal and far-fetched signs by the various checking.

Following the results of a meeting it is possible to tell, that between entrepreneurs and the power dialogue begins to be adjusted. Many offers of entrepreneurs in the field of current legislation change have found support, as among supervising bodies, and enforcement authorities.

The part of entrepreneurs remained is dissatisfied, since they wished to solve all problems for one evening. Some do not trust the authorities in general.

At a meeting there were deputies of National Meeting of Belarus V.D.Frolov and A.N.Burova.

All liked performance of the deputy of National Meeting of A.N.Burovoj which closely co-operates with enterprise public organizations and works over bills which could accelerate small-scale entrepreneurship development in Belarus.

Following the results of a meeting decision of strike committee of entrepreneurs of Belarus on stay of protest actions for uncertain time is upheld.

Strike Committee considers, that it is necessary to grant the loan of trust to the authorities, to give the chance to them to show, that they understand as concept «entrepreneurship support».
